iFlyZED serves as an independent platform designed to facilitate seat availability searches primarily for scheduled airline employees who frequently fly on standby. The system enables users to identify less congested flights, select optimal routes, and avoid unnecessary stopovers, thereby potentially saving both time and financial resources.

The search results display the number of seats currently available for sale across all classes—Economy, Comfort, Business, and First Class—which may include overbooked seats. However, the system does not indicate the level of overbooking. Note that some low-cost carriers and charter flights might not be visible in the results, and flights operated by British Airways (BA), Copa Airlines (CM), Southwest Airlines (WN), Lufthansa City Line (CL), or those departing from or arriving at San Diego are also excluded from the search.

Users of ZED Ticket are advised to verify flight details directly with the airline before finalizing travel arrangements. The ZED Fares Table provides special fares for ZED member airline employees. The complete list of airports is available in the Airports Section, while the Airlines Section features a comprehensive list of 233 airlines; however, not all airlines listed are included in particular search results.

Additionally, there are twenty frequently asked questions addressing various aspects of the platform. Usage of iFlyZED is not restricted to airline employees; all passengers holding frequent flyer cards can utilize the service to maximize their miles, especially since miles cannot typically be redeemed on overbooked flights. The platform allows users to select from multiple daily flights to improve their chances of avoiding overbooking issues.

It is important to note that even with a confirmed ticket, airline overbooking policies may prevent a passenger from being guaranteed a seat on a specific flight. An internet connection is necessary for seat availability searches; other features within the platform do not require connectivity. No password login is necessary.

The application is compatible with iPads and can be downloaded by searching "iFlyZED" on the iPad App Store. Users should filter by iPhone when searching, then select and download the app on their device.
